CLOVELLY DRIVE PLAYSPACE IN CRAIGIEBURN NOW OPEN

Craigieburn’s Clovelly Drive Playspace has been transformed thanks to a $160,000 investment from the Allan Labor Government’s Growing Suburbs Fund.

Member for Kalkallo Ros Spence recently opened the $334,235 playspace, which was jointly funded and delivered in partnership with Hume City Council.

The Clovelly Drive Playspace has been renewed with new play equipment including swings, a rocker and carousel spinner, as well as climbing, balance and sliding play equipment.

Nature play elements with logs and rocks have been incorporated, along with picnic furniture, seating, footpaths and new trees and garden beds.

The project has improved the amenity and accessibility of the reserve, with family-friendly areas featuring interactive sensory play panels.

The Growing Suburbs Fund represents a $440 million Victorian Government investment over 10 years to provide critical local infrastructure.

The Victorian Budget 2024-25 provided an additional $5 million to continue the support for infrastructure needs for our fast-growing outer suburbs, with this latest funding round being administered by the Office for Suburban Development.

Since its establishment in 2015, the program has supported 360 projects representing a total infrastructure investment of $1.3 billion and has created over 11,340 jobs.
